The same thing happened to the Indians when the British left. They wanted to continue to play cricket, but the difference is they changed it to make it their own because even though the British influence started it, they didn’t want the influence in their culture anymore. This proves that even though they hated the British, they were glad that they invaded because if they hadn’t, they wouldn’t be playing cricket.
